Cumin Oil

Paragon Alternative’s essential oils are selected and approved by  Sajid Ali, D.N.M. They are the purest and best essential oils available.

Cumin Oil Origin and Extraction

Steam distillation is used to extract the oil from the dried and crushed seeds of the cumin plant, an annual herb that is harvested by hand. Cumin is cultivated in India, Iran, Syria, Turkey and a few other countries. Cumin oil is much stronger and offers greater benefits than do the cumin seeds themselves.

Cumin Oil Essential Oil Indications/Uses

Cumin Oil is a strong bactericide, making it useful for combating and preventing infections in the intestines, colon, stomach and urinary tract. It can also combat bacterial infections on the skin. Additionally, its antiseptic properties can prevent septic infections (sepsis) from occurring. Other uses include the reduction of intestinal gas and, in low doses, an aid to digestion.  Cumin Oil has been shown to reduce symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). As a diuretic, Cumin Essential Oil increases urination and therefore aids in the elimination of toxins from the body. This product is an excellent detoxifier.

Cumin Oil Contra Indications

After applying Cumin Oil topically, avoid exposing the skin to direct sunlight, as skin irritation will result (photo toxicity).  High dosages can produce headaches and nausea. Cumin oil is not recommended for pregnant women.

Essential Oils are natural, contracted oils that have the fragrance of the plant from which they originated. Most typically, the oils are extracted from the plant through distillation. In many cases, the distillation process involves the use of steam.  As steam passes through the plant’s stems, seeds, flowers or leaves, it assists in vaporizing the volatile compounds.

While essential oils have various uses, they have a long documented history of medicinal value. Essential Oils can support overall health, act as a treatment or remedy for various medical or psychological conditions or help prevent infections and illness.

Essential Oils should not be used on animals as they can have adverse effects.
